Although not a secret anymore, I still get butterflies to finally share that we are expecting! My husband, Geoff, and I are thrilled to announce we'll be adding a baby girl to our household in August. Our journey to get here has not been easy, and it has been one of the most physically and emotionally challenging experiences. But what this experience has taught us is that in our incredible Alexandria community, there is a foundation of love and support that can bring light to even the darkest days.
When the light does come, a celebration is not just a want but a need! Earlier this month, we celebrated with a baby shower for the upcoming arrival of Baby Hill. When my sister Paige and I sat down to talk through the shower logistics, we knew we had to hire out our favorite Alexandria businesses! We were thrilled to have the gorgeous florals by Helen Olivia to dress the venue, Hollin Hall. They really set the scene for the dainty and feminine afternoon tea party, along with the tea sets and tableware rentals from Something Vintage. Finally, a tea party isn't complete without adorable mini treats and finger sandwiches - all thanks to our friend Nicole's Mae's Market Catering. Thank you to Sarah Marcella who captured the event and the fabulous vendors who made it possible throughout the day!
