Unless you are living under a rock, you’ve probably had a conversation or two where Tom Cruise and his new Top Gun movie have come up! If you haven’t, I am happy to be the first. But, of course. while everyone is talking about Tom Cruise… I’m thinking about his real estate!
I feel the need, the need to speed search celebrity homes! The TTR Sotheby’s International Realty company-wide meeting took place last week at the Four Seasons in Georgetown. A great venue where we had an opportunity to see our colleagues after two years of being on Zoom for our company-wide meetings - definitely an upgrade from sitting behind the computer! We reviewed our current market and discussed recent significant sales within our brokerage in the Washington, D.C. area and Sotheby’s International Realty brokerages worldwide. One of those significant sales was Tom Cruise’s home in Telluride, Colorado, which was sold by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty for its full asking price of $39.5 million. Thirty-Nine million five hundred thousand dollars - I had to write it out twice for full impact!
His 320-acre property sits at the end of a mile-long driveway carved through a forest of aspen trees. The property holds the 10,000 square-foot stone and cedar home, a three-bedroom guest house, dirt bike and snowmobile tracks, sports-oriented amenities, and borders national forest land on three sides.

What started as an innocent click on Instagram quickly turned into a deep dive into celebrity homes. I can’t help but wonder why they chose one home over another. Was it the privacy? The location?
